GET INVOLVED

The only way the show can really grow is with your help. There are a lot of things that you can do that are free, doesn't take much time or effort and will help the show a lot. Below is a list of things you can do to help out for free and a list of things you can do for the show involving money and exactly what it will be going towards.

Help for Free

1.) Tell people about the show. It doesn't matter if its your family, friends, co-workers, etc.  Let them know how they can listen to the show and help them find it. An easy way to spread the word is to go to the podcasts other site which has the complete show archives by clicking here, go to the episode at the top of the page and click on the social media buttons to share it. It takes only a few seconds and helps out more than you know.

2.) Subscribe everywhere. If you listen to the show but haven't subscribed please do that as soon as possible. At the top of the page are icons with all of the major platforms where you can find the podcast. Click on any of those icons to go to the podcasts listing for that particular platform and subscribe there. If the platform that you use isn't listed there is an rss icon that you can click to get the rss feed to enter into your podcast app of choice. Not only will it keep you from missing an episode it will also help the show in the rankings.

3.) Interact with the show. This show is more than just a podcast, its a community. Let your voice be heard! Send in feedback on shows, ideas for new segments, things to discuss on the show, questions for guests (even if you don't know who it's going to be, its funnier that way anyhow), etc. Leaving voicemails to play is great but if you're shy you can send in an email or tweet. If you don't want to be mentioned on the show just include that in your message. The voicemail number is 929-266-9342, the email address is jason@wedonthavecookies.com and the twitter handle is @jasonmarshall2.

4.) Like the Facebook page. The more likes the page has the better the show looks to people and guests who are checking it out for the first time. The shows get posted to the page among other things. It's one of the easiest things you can do to support the show. Click here to go to the Facebook page, then click that like button and share the page if you want.

5.) Get creative. Send in music to be used on the show, cover art, segment ideas, etc. As long as there is no copyright issues it will be considered for use.

6.) Leave a rating and/or review. Wherever you are listening to the podcast, if it gives you the option to leave a rating and/or review for the podcast please do it. Its not as important as most people make it out to be but it does look good when other people are looking for a new show to listen to. You can leave a rating and review on iTunes by clicking here and give 5 stars on Stitcher by clicking here.

Paid Ways To Help

1.) Donate through PayPal. There is a button at the bottom of the page, click it and throw a few bucks towards the show. You can also choose to make it a recurring monthly donation too. If you sign up for a recurring monthly donation of just $1-5 dollars a month you would never miss it and it would help out the show more than you know. All of the money is going to go right back into the show. It will be used for things like offsetting the cost of media hosting, paying for a Skype phone number so people who don't have Skype can still contact the show, buying props to make YouTube videos, licencing new intro music, etc. If enough money is raised we can get a license to play music on the show like you would hear on any radio station. It would be used to do intros and outros for the show as well as to play as intros to news stories, segments, etc. It has already been looked into and it is not as expensive as you might think. NONE OF YOUR MONEY WILL GO TOWARDS COOKIES!

2.) Check out the show's Amazon Wishlist by clicking here and see if there is anything on there that you would like to purchase for the podcast. Everything on there is show oriented and would help out a lot regardless of how cheap or expensive it may be. If you have a question about anything on the wishlist send me an email, jason@wedonthavcookies.com
